Is there anything I can do over the summer to prepare for pre-med, or should I enjoy these final months of leisure and relaxation (as I will get none at Stanford)?

Enjoy your free time but do something productive as well. It would be really helpful to find something now that you may be able to continue with the summer after your freshman year. Since Stanford's quarter system means you get out of school a whole month after most other students, you may find that a lot of summer jobs will be taken up already by the time you go home, and you'll also be too busy studying during the year. For example, I did biomedical research the summer before my freshman year, and kept in contact with the scientist I worked for throughout the year, which made it easy for me to secure the research position again for this summer. Also, you can start looking through the Bulletin and familiarize yourself with all the different majors, courses, and freshmen classes. Good luck, and congratulations on Stanford!
