Quick question: what if you don't have friends? Help.... me.... :(

i believe football games are better in college than high school...

^
Definately at some top 25 schools...but not always. Some of those HS games get pretty crazy, but thats beside the point.

i cannot really relate to 100% on this one
maybe cuz of the school i went is in the ghetto and not the nicest school around
so i don't really regret wanting to rush outta highschool

thanks

i'll keep that in mind :o)

What the hell is a social life?

because its not getting that 2400, or that 5 on your AP test that you will remember, but the time you spent having fun with your friends that will stick with you.

-OP

but it's not the time spent having fun with your friends that will get into college.

Obviously....

This whole board is dedicated to people trying to get into college, and the longer I've been here, the more I realize who obsessed people are with getting into college. This thread wasn't advice on how to get into college, it was about how to have fun in High School, something that people on this forum usually loathe. Again, I never said otherwise, but honestly, JUST WITH HIGH SCHOOL, don't you think most people will look back remembering the "good times" in High School, rather than some test score?

I really don't see why you had to bring that up, when this whole thread had nothing to do with college admissions. No where did I say to neglect assignments and blow off studying...

^ That's great advice but it's easier said than done. People at my school will never encourage someone trying something new. If I showed up to a school dance and started trying to dance, people would just make fun of me. I don't want to look stupid and become that guy who tries too hard. ugh...I wanted to use this year (junior) to become more social and do more things with friends but I just feel too uncomfortable for some reason. :-/

All you said is very useful, california, but it's hard to go out and join activities when you are the only one in your group of friends who want to do something other than play video games and watch movies. It's kinda hard to go out and join a new "group" halfway through middle school as well. The most important thing is build close friendships with many different people in middle school, so it will be a lot easier to transition in high school.
