Is the monotony of high school getting to you?

High school has been fun, it really has. I've got great friends, it's a good school, and things are going pretty well. I have not been stressed for even a minute over college, as if I have always known I will end up going somewhere I like, even if it's not a "top school". I really can't complain about the classes either, some of them are quite interesting, yet I don't feel bogged down either. In fact, I haven't done more than 10 or 20 minutes of work outside of school all year, save 2 or 3 occasions. I really have nothing to complain about, and yet I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT to graduate and move on to college and life.

It's the daily process that's really gotten to me, of waking up around seven, walking to school, going to class, etc etc etc - it's not bad, but it's the same damn thing every day. It's not just 4 years this has been going on, my daily schedule has remained mostly unchanged since elementary school.

It's weird, I have not felt like this until very recently. Junior year I was pretty content with High School, but over the last month or two I have been bored to hell. All I can say is, thank god it's senior year.

word. i'm done with this place.

high school is one of the last remaining legal institutions of torture and slavery IMVHO

Yeah, when I was a senior, I was yearning to get to college SOOO bad... I tried to have as much fun as possible, as a result. And you should. I mean, 2nd semester grades don't matter that much. Unless you are still seeking scholarships.

oh yes, I am so done.
Good thing there is only one semester left!

Agree completely. Except the part about HS being fun.

I am a sophomore and I keep looking at college sites because I'm already so ready to be out of high school.

STOP. Enjoy high school for what it is. leave this forum now. Do not come back.
Feeling tortured for 1.5 semesters is so much easier than for 2.5 years.

you guys will learn to appreciate high school soon after you leave. don't worry about it.

I am so over all of this, and it's pathetic, because I'm only a sophomore.

you guys who are sophs need to STOP it, lol.

you might as well find your niche in your school and settle down now, because you're in it for the long haul. join a club, play sports, get involved, and you'll forget about wanting to graduate.

i didn't start daydreaming about leaving HS until this year, and i'm a senior.

HAHAH yeah! dude i feel like its the same thing over and over again. its so boring... ):
like i'm seriously getting senioritis too. i just dont feel like doing anything anymore LOL but luckily i force myself to ):
only one more semester left until freedom! hooray (:

Definitely.

Wake up, school, run, hw, sleep. Rinse and repeat.

You guys act like telling someone "Get off CC; you're wasting your time. Go out and enjoy high school." But you fail to realize high school completely SUCKS. I've been on here since March of this year; I was a 10th grader when I signed up. I completely hated high school then, and I do now. But then I look back and realize that was over nine months ago. So to all you sophomores, go on hating high school. Work hard and find things that make you not want to completely give up. Stay addicted to this site; there is loads of invaluable information to learn from. And best of all, don't worry; it'll all be over soon!

This is what I've been trying to tell everyone!

High School= Monotony+ Social Awkwardness+ Death metal and punk music+ A LOT of puking+ (Ok, I'll admit it) A LOT of LAUGHS.

But this is just me.
I'm going to have a blast in college even if it kills me.

I'm am so done with high school. I can't wait to get out of here and go to NYC!

I agree with everybody on this page. I'm a senior and I am sooo ready to graduate high school! I didn't start feeling this way until this year. I think it's just that senioritis is starting to hit all of us. Don't worry, I'm pretty sure that the majority of us are on winter break. Just imagine, when we go back to school next year, it'll be 2009! You all know what that means. It's our year and we're one huge step closer to leaving this place.

The problem with this is, it really won't be over soon for sophomores. Two and a half years is a LONG time if you are constantly thinking about how much HS sucks and counting the days until you are done.

20-30 minutes of work!?! I'm jealous.
if high school is just SOOO boring, try something new, get a job!
honestly, if you have so much free time you could at least invest in your future and if you already have a lot of money then it'll give you extra spending cash for college.
just because it's senior year doesn't mean you can't do anything to make it a NEW year. a new and EXCITING year.

Do not listen to anyone who says "Enjoy highschool" or "You'll learn to appreciate it".

I never EVER EVER wish to go back to highschool days or to relive them. Highschool was fun, but life outside of highschool is 10 times better. The only reason I would ever want to go back to highschool is just so I could make better grades or do more with my extra co. activities that would have helped me be a better kid right now.
