I just got accepted into the University of Maryland and I got invited into The College Park Scholars Program. However, I really wanted to get into the Honors program and I was wondering what the differences are between Honors and Scholars, if there is an appeal process, and whether or not it is even worth appealing this decision?

I haven’t heard of an appeal process, and I doubt you’d be successful. I’d just go with Scholars – at least you got something.

Here are the differences

[Honors College & College Park Scholars | University of Maryland](http://www.excellence.umd.edu/)

I wouldn’t attempt to appeal because it would probably make admissions very angry. I’ve heard great things about scholars though (I also got in) so look into that more! You may find you like it better than honors!

I wanted to appeal as well, help!!!

I know that at other colleges you are able to appeal the honors decisions, but I just havn’t heard whether or not you can do it for Maryland, and if it is worth it.
