To apply, or not to apply, that is the question

Basically, I've taken all of the hardest courses offerred at my school, all of them are PreAP/Honors/AP if possible. I'm a registered Native American, Cherokee tribe, yay minority status. I'm planning on being a Cognitive Neuroscience major, PreMed as well. I suppose it will probably have to be Neuroscience with a minor in cognitive sciences, but close enough.

Essay is phenomenal. not earth shattering Pulitzer winning or anything, but I think it is very very well written, and explains a lot about where I'm going in the future.

I'm wondering, do I have a chance at Yale, and then what benefits would Yale have over Princeton or Cornell as far as Neuroscience/Cognitive Science/Premed programs(even though Princeton doesn't offer those, I'd probably do some other social science or psychology)?

You should apply. 3.9 weighted GPA is low, but you should receive a huge boost as a Native American. Neuroscience is a track within psychology major and cognitive science is an interdisciplinary major. Yale has made a big push for bioimaging in general, and brain imaging in particular. If that is your interest, it would be another reason to apply.

Definitely apply. You may not get in, but you will be a competitive applicant. Do not submit your AP scores.

Guess I have hope too then.
