Hi, I'm currently a senior and I'm not quite sure if I should bother applying to the QuestBridge Program. They sent me an email in July and it most certainly intrigued me, but I remain unsure. Back in February I moved out of the house of my emotionally abusive, alcoholic mother and stepfather to come live with my dad and my grandfather. My dad is a painter and doesn't make much money. Throughout high school I underwent challenges both emotionally and economically. I don't know if I would have to report my mom's information because my dad now has main custody of me (as of June), but she is married with two kids. Her husband works a very low paying job (around 16k a year), and she is as far as I know unemployed. I have good grades, I'm an AP scholar, I hold leadership roles in my school, and I am doing a program this year where I take half of my classes at LaSalle University through a scholarship, but my SAT scores are not stellar (SAT 2030, SAT II US History 700, SAT II Biology M 600). Also, I want to apply regular decision because I'd like to apply to two of my other schools early (Georgetown and Villanova).

Bottom line - Should I bother applying for QuestBridge, or should I just apply to the schools that I'm interested in separately. Thanks!
