I took the SAT for the second time today.
I feel like I did reasonably well on the CR but my essay was pretty bad with poor examples (but I did fill up both pages).
I’m also pretty sure that I missed some of the writing questions (3 or 4?)…
As for math I have no idea and think my score can be anywhere from the 600s to an 800…
The first time I got 760 CR 790 Writing and 720 Math, so I’m not sure if I should cancel or leave it potentially see a decrease in my scores…
How bad is it to have decreasing scores? If I got 790 Writing last time and get 700 this time, does it essentially cancel out the 790 and make it look like a fluke?
I’d say cancel because in order to beat your scores you need max 2 wrong for math, max 5 wrong for cr, and no wrong on writing. if you know did that you did that in one section u can keep for superscore, but if not, cancel.
Check websites of schools you plan to apply to and see if they require all scores. If they don’t, just wait and see how you did and decide at application time whether to submit the second set of scores. If you used any of your four free sends you might want to cancel those but not the entire test.
It will be difficult to increase your score from already high score you have. It seems that you only need to increase your math score if you plan to apply to STEM schools.
