Hi, this is my first time posting on CC, and I have a very important question.

Right now I am a sophomore marketing major at Drexel, and I am scheduled to go on Co-op (Semester long paid internship) during the spring. This will give me real-world experience, but I will not be continuing my coursework. (We make it up during summer terms). Even though I have done well in my Marketing classes and did enjoy it, after taking a few courses in Economics, I have realized that I think I would rather be studying more of the theory and less of the practice. Thus I want to switch to economics and sociology. Additionally, I figured that if I am going to be changing majors, I might as well consider switching to a school that has a better program. The real dilemma is that I still want to see what the Marketing profession is all about, therefore I still want to go on co-op.

My question to you is, would going on Co-op instead of taking classes hurt my chances at getting accepted as a transfer?
