On my OPUS to-do list, it's still showing all the items for the online app part 2 and Emory scholars as not yet received. I submitted both the day before the deadline, which was 11 days ago. I'm sure that they just haven't processed it yet, but has anybody else had his/her to-do list updated who submitted items just before Nov 1?

I believe I saw something on Emory's website stating that it would take a few weeks for all the items to show as received. I don't think you need to worry.

I submitted mine just before the deadline. On Friday OPUS went from missing everything to application complete.

I submitted mine Nov. 1. My admissions app was submitted 10/30, but my guidance office sent in my Emory Scholars app and the counselor evaluation and transcript on 11/1 and it still says my app is incomplete.

I submitted my commonapp and supplement online on the 27th of october and mailed all my materials then, too. OPUS says that I am missing my all my essays, my transcript, and recs. Has anyone else submitted on or close to the 27th and have the same problem?

Same here, I called the admission office and they said that If we sent it then most likely they have it. They stated that the office has recieved hundreds of application parts of which they have not processed, so we should not be worried yet. They suggested that we give them 2 weeks to finish everything up.

My son e-mailed them last night after I told him about this post. They said that they have his application but have not yet entered everything into the computer (he submitted the common app on Oct. 27). They said to wait a week or two and if everything is not yet updated ..... wait a few more days!

awesome. thanks!

As an update, my online application items (the essays, ECs, etc.) were checked off sometime around the 14th, about 2 weeks after submission, but my transcript, scholar nomination, and the rest that was mailed in has yet to be processed. They were mailed on Oct 31. Anybody else mail it in around the same time period and already have it checked off?

I think mine were mailed on the 26th, and still haven't been checked off :

I mailed mine a little later, but all but three things have been checked off. I also got an e-mail from the office of admissions today stating that they were still missing those items, but I have already sent them. Hopefully they will be processed within the next few weeks.

online stuff checked off immediately. sent mine for the Nov 1 deadline. None of the mail stuff checked off yet. paranoid.
If anybody's stuff gets processed, let us know!

Calm down, it'll get processed so just be patience. I sent my apps in during the 2nd week of Oct. so mine was processed quite awhile go. Once it's processed, you'll get this message in the To-Do list:

You have no To Dos at this time.

Undergraduate Admission Office - Admissions Application Complete

It's not that we're all freaking out and nervous, Mika. We're just making sure there isn't a problem that we need to somehow remedy.

Emory's site itself puts the max time to 5 days after receipt, so I think we are patient and calm, but had a legitimate cause for concern.

I got this email from the Office of Admission about a months ago and here's when they talk about processing time:

If the information listed above has already been sent, and you do not receive

notification that your application is complete within two weeks from the date of this letter, please contact the Office of Admission.

So I would say give the office 2-3 weeks and then call. If something was missing, they would tell you. Aside from that, just wait and see what happens.

sorry i forgot to give an update

i sent in my common app online on the 27th and also mailed my materials in on that day. i got opus info in the mail about a week later. i checked it incessantly for like two weeks because it said i was missing some stuff that i sent in. i checked on the thirteenthish of november and it said my application was complete and they had everything they needed. hope that gives you some idea and hope it helps. good luck!

guys please clear up some confusion/anxiety for a paranoid guy (me)

Why are the essays missing? Those were sent electronically as part of the common app (and yes I sent the supplement too). they had to have received that since i got the letter and everythignn saying they received my app.

You are not paranoid....we sent everything in on October 22nd....OPUS has never been updated....We have called, e-mailed, called again....Tempted to fly to Atl......If anyone has had better luck, please let us know....the only confirm we have gotten was by snail mail back on October 25th that they received our app (common app).....

I got the letter in mid-October (maybe towards the end) and was checking OPUS a bunch and started to get worried. So I asked my counselor just to make sure the sent in all my recs/transcript stuff and he is crazy so decided to call Emory himself to make sure all my stuff got there...alas when I got home my OPUS was updated...so if you are really concerned I would talk to you counselor

OPUS seems to be more worrying than useful, since it's not updated for weeks on end. It seems like it's be a trivial thing for Emory to update it.

At least we know that it's pretty much everybody having the delay.

(Still waiting for OPUS to update my mailed in transcript/scholars form. Sent at very end of October, still no update 3 weeks later)
