Emory OPUS To-Do List Updates:

Hi y'all,
I completed my ED1 emory application many weeks ago and, like many other students, I'm awaiting my response. Sometimes I check OPUS in hopes that my decision will magically be posted early (or when I get really anxious and think that I forgot to send in something) so yesterday I logged on and noticed that there are 3 new uncompleted tasks for me on the To-Do List. These tasks are:
CSS Profile Application
FAFSA Application
IDOC Packet
I'm a little confused because isn't the FAFSA due in March? Why would they put this on my To-Do list if they might not even accept me to the school? Did anybody else notice this on their account?

I'm probably over analyzing this but what ED1 applicant isn't having panick attacks waiting to hear back.
Thanks guys! Good luck to all!

My daughter is applying RD and sent in her application in September. These three items recently showed up on her " to do" list as well. I guess they started to also look at RD apps just to see who is applying for FA? Her FA forms are due by 3/1 but you need to check the dates for ED. FAFSA comes out 1/1 but the CSS profile is already out.

My daughter says that everybody who sent in their applications by November 15th had their applications downloaded which is why FA info is showing up.

Oh alright, that would make sense. I applied ED and when I checked the form deadlines online they all said the same due dates even for ED applicants. Thanks!

If you applied ED, they will give you a financial aid package along with your admissions decision (if accepted). If that FA package is unaffordable that’s really the only reason you can back out of your ED agreement. So they need your CSS Profile asap, though not your FAFSA (can’t be done until January).

The Profile was due 11/15.

Obviously if you aren’t applying for financial aid this doesn’t apply.

Sorry if it’s inappropriate to as a question on your thread but… Will this be the same for regular decision students? I don’t need to do any thing with these three things on my to do list in order to make sure my app will be reviewed, do I?
