To get into medical school?

I am interested in going into the medical field as a career. From several medical school students I have heard that all medical schools would like a GPA of at least a 3.6 or higher while in college. Should I pick a college that is easier to finish with a high GPA or shoot for a prestigious college that will probably look better on my resume? Please explain!

There is a search button at the top of the page. Believe it or not it works. I came up with this in 2 seconds:
[College Confidential Site Search Results - College Confidential](http://www.collegeconfidential.com/search_results.htm?q=better+med+school+higher+grades+less+prestige&sa=Google+Search&userInput=&sitesearch=collegeconfidential.com&cx=013579521852154800353%3Avvp1k6kluvq&cof=FORID%3A9)

Pick a major in college that you’re interested in! It doesn’t have to be easy or related to medicine at all, you can do anything!

A high GPA and MCAT are critical in college. I would suggest you aim for a 3.7-3.8GPA

go to hendrix college or at least

go to their web site and read about their pre med program and sucess rates!
