I noticed my bill for 2010-11 and the Pell grant is listed as 3500. I seem to recall my EFC being under 3k, I think.

To get the maximum Pell, your EFC has to be $0.

thanks.
for my info,
- what is the maximum pell?
- wd 3500 be about right for an EFC under 3k?

Hmmm… I think the maximum Pell is about $5200 (Kelsmom and Swimcatsmom know the exact number…it’s close to that).

I believe the max Pell is $5550 for EFC 0

For EFC 3000, the award is…$2600

Of course, these amounts are split among semesters or quarters.

You can check your SAR but a Pell grant of $3500 would indicate your EFC is between $2K and $2100. For every increase above 0-100 there’s seems to be an offset to Pell, in $100 increments:
