To go or not to go: That is the question

I'm sure many people reading this will be ready to hurt me by the time they are done reading, but here's the deal..

I'm graduating in June with a B.S. in Chemistry and all along I've been thinking in my head 'Oh, I'm going to get a job.. I don't want to go to grad school'. Well, the professor I do my undergraduate research for suggested that I at least apply to graduate school incase I don't find a job I want. So, I thought about it & decided meh, what the heck, might as well. By this time it was too late to take the GRE so I only applied to UC Davis because the GRE isn't required for admissions. I didn't even try on the application, I wrote the personal statement in under 30 minutes.

Anyway, I got in. And not only did I get in, but they are going to pay me $3000 per quarter to cover tuition and a $21500 annual stipend.. so overall it's a pretty nice deal. The problem is, I have to accept the offer by April 15th.. which is probably before I'll know what my job options are. I've submitted my resume to several companies but haven't heard anything so far.

So, lol, what do I do with the rest of my life? I'd really like personal experiences about grad school, or lack there of.

I would actually say that you should probably sit on the offer until April 15, and if nothing better comes along, then take it. Like you said, you'll be making 21k a year, and you'll be getting all the perks of being a student (i.e. free gym membership, free library use, etc.). You can always continue your job search while you're in graduate school, and if something good comes along, you can just drop out.
