Thought this might be interesting:

I saw that, too, achat. I was especially interested and delighted to see the 87% alumni giving rate. I will make sure to show it to my cheapskate 6/07 graduating son! ;)

I'm sure Dan West will have a wonderful talk with the soon-to-be graduates explaining the importance of alumni giving to the college. I know that a similar talk by the then head of development was an important stepping stone event before my graduation 30+ years ago.

I was also happy to see some of the uses it went to, some of which were worthwhile in my eyes. Some of those millions also came from us parents (albeit, perhaps, modest amounts from people like me) and my son worked as a fundraiser phoneathon worker for 2 years.

The only mistake they made was not building both halves of the New Dorm at the same time. I think the stock market decline in 2000 spooked 'em.

At least they did all the infrastructure work for the second building initially, so it should go up quicker.

There are some random stone walls around where the new-new-dorm will be built, and I just noticed that they are conveniently located right where the dorm's walls are to be built (I think...).

I hope it is actually finished for 2008.
