To pass the time until letters come...

The Reluctant Fundamentalist- Mohsin Hamid.
It came strongly recommended and is turning out to be pretty fantastic, I have to admit, unique would be putting it mildly.

One thing about home you're bound to miss the most?

Probably just being in my kitchen with my family, making cookies or playing board games or whatever.

Anything from the ancient past (or at least not in your lifetime) you wish we had in modern times?

Dragons, haha. No, I'm just kidding. Hm...I really can't think of anything else, because corsets would be horrible to have again. How about those cute little umbrellas? (Parasols, are they called?)

Where do you like to write your reminders? Hand, planner, on your face?

It depends when I have to do it. Either my hand or my face- hand for times I'm not likely to look at my planner, planner for virtually everything else.

What goodies have you gotten from Wellesley so far?

Let's see... I'll prolly miss something but from what I can remember off the top of my head... poster, note from admissions officer/student, course catalog, a couple letters, and of course a likely letter :):):)

Biggest pet peeve?

The squiggly red/green lines that underline spelling/grammatical errors on Word; I have to add each proper noun separately.

3 people you wouldn't mind being marooned on a deserted island with?

one of my friends, a kid from the science team, and a kid from track. science team kid will help me figure out how to get off the island, and the friend and trackie will be the most helpful in helping us to actually build stuff to get off the island.

If you made a sundae with 3 toppings, what kind of ice cream and what 3 toppings would you use?

Plain vanilla ice cream, cherries, cherries, cherries. :) lol I dont really like toppings on my ice cream. Just simple vanilla ice cream by itself is good for me.

This may have already been asked, I don't remember- What is your favirote tv show?

Wow. Just one? Uhmm... either The Office or Avatar.

Okay, now- what are all the TV shows you watch on a consistent basis?

american tv: only ANTM. korean tv: EVERYTHING. i'm not much of a tv person -- more into youtube.

how do you feel about fortune cookies? like/dislike/save fortunes/etc?

Thats so weird.. I had chinese for lunch today and snacked on the fortune cookies throughout the day.. I love fortune cookies, and I usually save the fortunes and stick them around my room in random places so I find them later. Or I just stick them in my "memories box."

Whats your favirote kind of food? For me its either chinese (american chinese) or italian.

I love chinese too, but it might have something to do with actually being Chinese. ;D I eat rice every day and it can get boring sometimes. My favorite food food is actually guacamole, for now. I've been making it many days in a row now and I have to say, my recipe is delicious.

Q: What is one thing you'd want to invent?

Okay, that is a really awesome question. Uhmm.. when I was a kid, I used to wish I had a super amazing all-powerful light saber-esque laser thing. I imagined that it could cut through anything, and turn me invisible at will, and glow really prettily. And I could, you know, carry it around everywhere. So yes, I'd want to invent a super amazing all-powerful light saber-esque laser thing. Maybe the fact that I wish I could carry a laser around says something about me, but whatever.

Was that weird? .... Yea, probably. Oh well.

Do you write in your books? How do you treat them- do you keep them in pristine condition, or not?

oh-- no margin is safe from my pencil scribblings! although i love books that are in pristine condition (and have that fresh new book smell), i could never own and read one and leave it as it was. i am a compulsive annotator... and ap english isn't doing anything to pull me out of that habit.

what do you think about plugs -- as in those ear things that are supposed to extend the skin/hole ?
(i DON'T understand why people wear them.)

I think they're gross.

What do you think about piercings other than ears on your body?

I think it depends on the location, size and the jewelery. And the attitude/vibe of the person...like if my history teacher walked in with his bow-tie, pressed shirt, nice slacks, etc etc and then had a huge stud on his nose...I'd think it was pretty awesome, but still wonder a bit about his credibility.

What's a strange habit of yours? (I use a fountain pen~)

I can't study with open mirrors and I MUST have a mirror nearby (only while studying). :D

THE DECISIONS ARE COMING TOMORROW!!!
Do you think a student accepted early at Grinnell with a $40k scholarship has a chance in Wellesley??

um, yep. is that you?

are you looking forward to living in a dorm?

In an odd way, I am. I think it's going to be a lot of fun (although I hope the novelty doesn't wear off too quickly.)

What's your guilty pleasure?

online shopping. especially for things i'll prolly never afford. the stuff is just so pretty!

so i have a zillion trenchcoats in different colors and styles, and i prolly need to diversify my coat/jacket collection, but they're so pretty! what's your overindulged clothing obsession?
