To pass the time until letters come...

finishing my ap chem labs, high school in general, every day i have to wake up basically until this year is over, rejection letters.

i'm so ready to be done.

it's 11 and i've spent the entire night being a lazy bum (besides volunteering at the hospital) so i'm a bit cynical and hopeless right now.

hm.. what's your favorite workout/exercise to do? dancing, running, something completely different?

I have a love affair with the elliptical. It's such a matter of will power, and you feel so accomplished afterwards.

Hmmm...are you more of a texter or a caller?

Neither. I've never texted anyone, and I almost never call people for no reason. I'd say I'm more of an emailer?

The world would be a better place if ______________.

School didn't start at 7:00 a.m. :P

Gold, silver, or platinum?

I don't mind wearing any, it depends primarily on the outfit. But when I have a choice, silver, because I don't want to seem too formal or too arrogant.

A few very closed friends or a crowd of friends you speak with once in a while?

I'm generally outgoing, so I think I have a little of both. I broke up with my boyfriend so I didn't have any other best friends for a while, but now my good friends and I are starting to become closer. I have friends in IB and friends on my club swim team. The more the merrier!

Do you have a favorite saying or quote?

Yea! I took a chunk of it for my senior quote:

"And this I believe: that the free, exploring mind of the individual human is the most valuable thing in the world. And this I would fight for: the freedom of the mind to take any direction it wishes, undirected. And this I must fight against: any idea, religion, or government which limits or destroys the individual."

-John Steinbeck, East of Eden.

Do you plan on partying in college?

Im only a junior in high school right now but I hope its okay for me to be a part of this thread since Im considering applying to Wellesley?

I dont plan on doing the typical college partying that most people do since I dont really like alcohol, but I dont plan on staying in my dorm 24/7.

This may be a lame question but, if you could only bring 5 things besides school stuff and the necessities like school supplies, clothes, etc. what would they be? (as in objects like MP3 players or favirote movies)

Cellphone

Ipod

Meet the Parents + Meet the Fockers (I ROFL every single time I watch. :D)

My collection of Nabokov and L'Engle novels

Tennis rackets!

Okay, 3~5 were a bit on the plural side...but I need those.

What's your secret talent?

By looking into anyone's eyes I am able to see into their soul....just kidding. :D But I can make my tongue touch my nose!

What is a talent you wish you had?

I really wish I could harmonize. Really.

If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?

Shy, Quiet, Honest.

Whats your favirote perfume?

for winter: burberry (the original yellow one)
for summer: pure white linen

for life: chanel no. 19

what famous book do you think is the most overrated?

Their Eyes Were Watching God. Henry James did it first but called it Portrait of a Lady.

Do you have a make up routine/what is it?

Nope! Don't wear any makeup (only lip gloss/balm).

Favorite dessert?

PINKBERRY YOGURT! it's absolutely divine.

who would you want to invite to be a guest speaker/lecturer/celebrity at wellesley?

JK Rowling :)

Favorite thing(s) to put in an omelette?

Ham, cheddar cheese, green onions, and butter. Keepin' it classic. ;)

Pancakes or waffles?

pancakes! oh man. i might even go make some for myself right now.

do you ever enjoy that kind of "domestic" stuff? (like baking, cooking, etc... idk)

Yea, I've been baking and cooking for myself these past few months, because I never like what my mom makes. And because it's fun to give cookies to my friends. I also like organizing things and categorizing them, but I don't like chore-ish things, like washing the dishes and such.

What books are you currently reading? Impressions?
