To send an arts supplement or not to send an arts supplement

So, I've played cello for eight years, and it's been a big part of my extracurricular activities. I do not want to be a music major, but I would like to take lessons and be in the orchestra at whatever school I go to. However, I am unsure whether I should send a supplement or not. I don't have anything completely prepared right now because I recently changed teachers, and I don't want to send anything below my standards. Will colleges look down on me if they see I have a long list of orchestra activity and no supplement? Can the arts supplement affect one negatively?

On the other hand, I have a friend who sent a tape to Stanford of her playing something from Suzuki book four. That sort of made me snicker.

So, what should I do? Should I send nothing? Should I send what I can (perhaps just a movement from a bach suite instead of what I originally planned--bach and a brahms sonata)? Should I whip out suzuki book four and sightread cover to cover (XD) ? Or should I try to hack out SOMETHING complete in the next month that may not be perfect?

(If it matters, I would be sending this to Stanford, Pomona, Whitman, Oberlin, and Bowdoin)

Thanks!
