To the first year premeds.

^ Agree on that part. AP Chem also focused more on material that is taught in 20B (equilibrium, acids/bases, redox).

hey im dropping chem 14b so if anyone wants a new lavelle course reader. i wrote some notes one day and i’ll sell it for $35. it sells for $45 in westwood. pm me if you’re interested!!

Chem 20A + Scerri = Conceptual madness.

^skitariister AGREED :P

Am I the only one who enjoyed Scerri’s chem 20A class? :/

Pretty much.

Don’t get me wrong I liked the material and thought it was interesting, but Scerri…

On Parents’ Weekend, I walked into the Kerckhoff Coffeehouse and I saw him having a conversation with my parents (!!!). I was mortified lol. It’s a good thing he doesn’t recognize me, or he’d judge me for the dismal grade I got :/

14 series is … kind of a joke.

And you’re not truly “pre-med” until around sophomore year. If your GPA is holding, you get a respectable research position, and you’re doing more than some menial hospital volunteering, then I think it’s a more accurate description.

Cynicism aside, just keep it up and trying your best. I’ve found more success and importance in finding the material interesting versus focusing on the cutthroat competitiveness (and I’m taking the engineering series of everything too). Let your upper divs be a beacon of hope for you - they are amazing and wonderful and you will wonder how you stayed focused on filling out Pang’s silly carbon notebooks for 15 hours a week.

i love pang. he dresses so well.

Pang hasn’t banged me (my grade) just yet. He speaks my language too.

Yeah Pang’s one classy dude.
