<p>I do think a 2.6 GPA in math and science courses is too low to recommend pursuing a chemistry PhD. Others have recommended chemistry-related careers. </p>
<p>Addressing your last sentence above, do not panic. The bachelor’s degree is a credential that you are on track to earn. In CC threads on “What’s the best major?”, people have correctly observed that most people have careers that are not related to their college majors. So look at the range of jobs that college graduates do and think about which of them appeal to you.</p>
