Yay for this thread!

-What you will do to celebrate: I'm thinking of having a party--technically a birthday party, but considering that the reason I couldn't have a birthday party was because the last thing on my mind around Oct. 27 (my b-day) was being another year older, it seems sort of appropriate that I make it up somehow.

-Princeton underwear and other uncanny things you may have bought: Princeton buttons for my blazer (yeah I know, PREP CITY!!! But seeing as how I am literally a valley girl, it's what I like to call "self-mocking prep"--a sartorial contradiction in terms, if you will). Also the obligatory Class of '09 sweatshirt.

-What you are going to do the rest of the school year and the summer while you dream of Princeton: Work like a psycho! Now that I don't have to worry about apps, I can do some serious preparation for college math--I'm not sure I'm ready for it. And of course a lot of fun ungraded learning stuff that I now have time for.

-Things you just HAVE to buy (you know...for the dorm and stuff) before going to Princeton: Laptop. That's it, really. My younger sister is scheming to "design" my dorm room for me, though (she reads Martha Stewart magazine and watches Home & Garden TV, all that kind of thing).

-Favorite sort of hobbies/amusements: composing music, recreational etymology, rollerskating at the beach, hanging with my physics teacher, poetry, programming in Java.

-Favorite movie(s): Ghost World, You Can't Take It With You, Hedwig & the Angry Inch

-Favorite Book(s): Right now I'm way into modernish Russian novels--Dostoevsky and especially Nabokov (that man was too clever for his own good). The books I'm doing over winter break, though, are "A Combinatorial Introduction to Topology" and "Transition to Upper Mathematics", which could be about anything but is in fact about proofs.

-Family Pets: A dog, and a dove which I keep in my room and which confuses people who phone me with its weird bird sounds.

-The 'maybe' Major: Math!

-Brief stats: 740 M/800 V 800 Bio/800 Writing/800 IIC
-Hook: Math female, major classics nerd (learned Ancient Greek outside of school)

-Other happy comments: If there's one thing I abhor it's writing about myself, and I am SO glad it's over. Hopefully for the rest of my life.
