Hi all, I could really use some advice here as I'm in a tricky situation.

I'm currently a sophomore enrolled in a 4 year out of state college where I can earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 6 years. I really miss home and would like to transfer back home but by doing so I would have to switch majors because all the pharmacy schools in my home state require a minimum of 8 years to obtain a Pharm D and I am not willing to spend that much time in school. That being said I would prefer to major in economics with hopes of obtaining an MBA. One big concern is the job prospects of a BA in economics compared to a Pharm D. I feel like I would be giving up a lot of money and job security by going into economics. Another concern is disappointing my parents. I miss home but I would feel terrible giving up on what they want from me. After all, it was my father's hopes that I would go into pharmacy.

I am torn. On the one hand I would love to be closer to home but on the other hand I don't want to let my parents down and give up possibly a better future for myself. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
