To use or not use my essay?

<p>I wrote an essay for an application, but I never went through with it. Now, I am filling out one last minute application and I would really like to use this essay. The problem is, I posted the essay on this site because I never thought I would use it, and I was hopping that I was done with the application process. Shortly after I posted it, the thread got deleted, and I seriously doubt anyone stole it. The problem is, I Googled the first sentence in quotes and there is a cached version of the thread which has my essay. Do colleges ever check the internet to see if something is plagiarized or anything? <em>sigh</em> </p>

<p>I’m not sure if they would check, but I would suggest that you don’t submit that. If they did acknowledge it posted on this website, they would also be enabled to look through your post history, assuming that they believed that it was your piece. There is also the possibility that they would believe that you acquired the piece off of the internet, something that wouldn’t be too beneficial.</p>
