So the deal is that I’m currently doing my AS at a community college and have the university I want to transfer to already lined up to accept me as a Junior right off the bat once that’s done.
Technically I could finish the AS during next Fall with the bare minimum requirements OR I could finish during next Summer with some additional courses that may come in handy for the bachelors. Trying to decide which way to do this atm and any input would be welcome. (My advisor is not being a huge help on this)
If it changes anything I’m an adult with a full time job currently studying full time as well so I’d prefer to get schooling out of the way ASAP as long as it won’t hurt my GPA.
You need to find out whether the extra courses will transfer for credit (probably not if your whole AS is being accepted for credit), and/or whether those courses will allow you to be placed into a more advanced course once you get to your university. Contact the department you would be majoring in, and ask them about this.
*Next Spring not next Fall, sorry
I did contact them but they’re being very vague about it saying that the courses may or may not transfer but we won’t know until after I’m admitted and they review my transcripts
There’s also the possibility that I’ll want to go to grad school at a later time in which case I’m sure I’ll need some engineering physics courses at least but I could technically take those outside of my degree at a later time I guess. Or are grad schools particular about getting all your courses within your degree program?
