To which school should I apply?

Hello everyone. Well I am considering applying to Cornell University in the fall, but I have encountered dilemma; I am not sure to which school I should I apply. I definitely want to major in Computer Science, but that major is offered in both the College of Arts & Sciences and the College of Engineering. However, I also want to be able to take a language and economics courses. If I apply to the College of Arts & Sciences, I would definitely be able to take those courses outside my major (and even required), but I would be forced to fill my schedule with history, social sciences, and humanities classes that I'd rather not take. In the College of Engineering, I would have to take physical sciences and engineering classes (which I would prefer) alongside my major, however, I am not sure whether I would have room for the other courses (language and economics). So, my question is, which college do you think I should apply to? And, if I apply to the College of Engineering, would I have room for the courses outside the college that I would like to take?

Thanks for reading!

It’s going to be difficult to carry a course load in engineering if you tack on the language, because languages meet every single day. But if you’re only interested in one language class and one economics class, then do engineering, because arts has a bunch of requirements which you probably won’t be interested in. If you don’t mind a heavier workload, do engineering. Engineering obviously has the better reputation. But regardless, you’ll graduate with a solid rep.
