To Which Schools Did Your School Valedictorian Get Accepted?

We had like three... I know one got into Northwestern, and another got into VCU 7 Year Medical Program.

Our's got accepted into Harvard, Stanford, and MIT. I don't know which one she's going to though.

Last year, our valedictorian went to Harvard.

In our school, you have to apply to be valedictorian, since it would be too much competition to rank everyone (school of 3900 people).

This year:
Val: Duke
Sal: Stevens
3rd: Harvard
4th: Davidson
5th: Tufts
6th: Tufts

Last Year:

Previous Years for Val:
2004: Macalaster
2003: Georgetown / Davidson [tie]

2006 Val: Will be going to Cambridge to study English Literature, assuming she gets 40 IB (No TOK) points.
Sal: Will be going to Oxford to study Political Science, assuming he gets 38 (no TOK) IB points.
3rd: Washington and Lee, non-conditional

2005 Val: Went to Oxford, achieved 39 IB
Sal: Went to Imperial, achieved 36 IB
3rd: Brandeis University, achieved 36 IB

2004 Val: Went to St. Andrews, achieved 37 IB

To post 270: Beats me, their words not mine. They are nice people though (well at times) so I doubt they were just doing it to say that they turned those schools down. Actually one of them turned down U Chicago only after visiting the school and discovering he hated it. (He said something about an interview he had there that turned him off. Wait not an interview, just a meeting with someone there.)

They aren't the only ones I know who turned down top schools for Madison though. A friend of mine's sister turned down Northwestern for Madison too. Since her father is a doctor I doubt it was motivated by financial need.

Just interesting that not everyone picks the most prestigious school they get into.

stanford ea

Cornell. She wanted to go to Brown but didn't get in

We have a total of 5 people going to Cornell, 1 to Yale, 2 to Duke, 2 to Georgetown, 1 to Tufts, 1 to UVA, 1 to Emory

Princeton (attending), Duke, Dartmouth, CMU, Columbia Fu Foundation.

Highest one for this yr: YALE

Even if we don't have ranking.. we know who is the valedictorian..

I am in a international school and last year she went to Harvard and this year he is going to Cornell

I wish I could be the one next year..lol (I think I am currently 3rd or something:)
