Stanford - 2
Amherst - 4
MIT - 4

Ours was rejected from Harvard (with a perfect 36) so they'll be attending the University of Chicago next year.

Everywhere he applied, so like i think harvard, yale, princeton, cal, ucla, stanford, and a few others. He didnt need a safety.

He has something like a 4.0, 4.7w, and is one of the best debaters in the nation. Anyone who debates heard of Arsani Williams? Yeah, he's going to stanford.

My school's val is going to a small private college nearby and the sal is going to Yale. :)

We had Co Vallys
-first one princeton, 2nd Northwestern's 7 year med program

4 sal's
-UCLA
-Berkeley
-Stanford
-Occidental

Oddly, our only harvard acceptance isnt on there nor are our 4 upenns or 2 cal techs. I'm on the lower end of the top 25 percent but im giong to U of M

2005 Val-MIT
2005 Sal-UF
2005 Magnet Val-FSU
2005 Magnet Sal-UF

2006 Val-FSU
2006 Sal-FSU Me
2006 Magent Val-USF (amazingly he got denied to all the Ivies he applied to)
2006 Magnet Sal-UF

Val - UColorado at Boulder
Sal 1 - UColorado at Boulder
Sal 2 - Colorado College

Eh.

Harvard, Yale, Northwestern, Georgetown, UPenn and Wash U. Headed for Yale.

Val applied ED to Yale and was accepted. Sal accepted at Dartmouth, Columbia, Yale and a few others; going to Yale also.

2005- Val accepted to HYPMit,Stanford, Brown, Cornell, Columbia- chose MIT
Sal going to Yale
Sal2 going to MIT
2006- accepted to Cornell, Princeton, Brown, Duke, Harvard- Chose Harvard
Sal going to Brown
Sal going to Columbia
2007- accepted to Harvard,MIT,Stanford, Princeton- Chose MIT
Sal going to Stanford
Sal 2 going to Dartmouth (between Stanford, Princeton, Yale)

I don't know where she was accepted, but she's going to UTenn. Oy.

Last year's val went to Vandy.

valedictorian: cornell (accepted JHU, rejected MIT)
sal: harvard
other top 5: harvard, duke, dartmouth (accepted brown)

Val: Going to Trinity. Accepted to Princeton.
Sal: Northwestern.
Num 5 got accepted to Stanford, but going to Georgia Tech.

Val: Going to Princeton.
Sal: (we have two)

St. Olaf and Carleton.

I got accepted to Cornell and Dartmouth, but I'm going to UF.

I graduated in '06 and for that year and the year before, both vals went early decision to Georgia Tech. This year's val got into a ton of schools and just got off the Duke waitlist, so that's where he's going. His brother was the valedictorian a few years before and he goes to Vandy.

It's strange though because our vals typically don't go to great schools. We've had students go to Brandeis (me), Rice, all of the Military Academies, UNC, NYU, Emory, and MIT, but never the valedictorian or the salutitorian. In fact, out of all of us who went to those schools in the past 3 years, only 2 were in the top 20 people of the class (one to West Point and one of 2 to MIT).

Val: Harvard (full-ride). He got accepted by: Princeton, Stanford, Caltech, MIT, and Yale.
Sal: Princeton

Top 10% graduating class (usually around 70/700) in my school get into ucla, ucsd, and berkely. We had 8 people get into Stanford this year.

Our school has certain requirements besides GPA for val/sal. They must have attended the school's junior high (we have preschool-12th), and must have a good balance of leadership, community service, and character.

This year's Val- Swarthmore (ED)
Sal- Wellesley

Based on what I know, if it was based solely on GPA, the sal would be this person who's attending UPenn.

In the past, our non-vals tend to be accepted into better schools. Last year's Val was rejected from Stanford, while two other people (top 10%, probably around ranked 10-15 out of 120) were accepted there. This year, other great non-val/sal acceptances included: Columbia SEAS (ED), USC, UCB, UCLA, Haverford, JHU, and NYU.

Val- BYU (also accepted at UVA)
Sal- Hamilton (also accepted at Cornell and Northwestern)

People further down seemed to have a little more luck this year. We have four people going to Princeton, and I think only one is in the top 10.

CalTech
Duke
Brown
Penn
Cornell
Rice
Northwestern
Columbia(attending)
