Today's QOTD

*What is the largest possible integer value of n for which 5^n divided 50^7?

a. 2
b. 7
c. 9
d. 10
e. 14

I’ve read the explanation clarifying why answer E is correct, but I didn’t get it. It’s too much algebra and a waste of time in my opinion. The way I thought of it is a quotient of 50^14 / 50^7, but I am probably wrong as it doesn’t work with 50^21/50^7.

Shouldn’t be a waste of time…

50^7 = (2*5^2)^7 = 2^7 * 5^14
