<p>i'm looking for toefl PBT prep books, and i can't seem to find any at all.
does any one know where i can find some?
i live in israel so i need to be able to order and have it shipped. i've registered for a Nov 15 test date. The next date is in Jan, i don't want to have to redo it again since i live far away from the testing center.</p>
<p>What sort of preparation are you looking for?</p>
<p>Your best bet are the two free practice tests you get from ETS when you register for the TOEFL. </p>
<p>I bought Barron’s TOEFL iBT prep book to help me prepare for the test and it was completely useless. It was mostly about academic skills (e.g. how to take notes when you are reading a text) and general test taking strategies (get enough sleep, stay hydrated, bring several layers of clothing to adjust to the room temperature, etc). It came with a CD which was supposed to have several practice tests, but I could never get them to run on my computer. A lot of money spent for nothing.</p>
<p>The two practice tests should be enough to give you an idea what to expect, and which areas you might need more practice in. I would use the internet to find specific resources after that.</p>
<p>Here are a couple of TOEFL CPT books, but I don’t know if they are any good, or if they are sold in your country for that matter.</p>

<p>On friday I had a chance to review some CBT/PBT prep books at the fulbright fundation library and from what i saw i think i’ll do just fine with out any books. i just need to sharp up my writing skills. despite that i still wrote myself down for some library time on tuseday i think i’ll go and just go over some of the things in the books maybe take one home with me.</p>
