Usually for CBT it takes 2 weeks to process your request on the testing day. So basically, the score report is sent to the colleges at the same time it is sent to you. But if you want to request more score reports, do it by phone, and the report will be sent out 4 working days after you call (more expensive, but much faster). If you fill out the score report request form, I believe it's going to take at least 2 weeks.

I thought that toefl is 100 % like sat. testing dates are on the next saturday after the sat testing dates. I waited for my scores for about 1.5 months, but try rush reporting.

Can someone who take the Toefl test before, report his scores here please?

easily, 603 PBT

I need around 250 at the CBT. I think with listening I will get 27 and with reading 26.
How good must my essay be, if I want to reach my goal?

I don't know how good your essay must be, because your essay is only part of the structure/grammar section on TOEFL. I got 290. Breakdown: reading 27, listening 30, structure 30(including 6 on essay).

haha I got 297 on the CBT take that you high scorers!!

Anyway if you write a reasonable essay you are on your way. ( it just has to make sense)

I am really scared that I dont make the 250 score, because my writing sucks. While my listening and reading is kinda good

Which book do you thnk is the best to prepare for the Toefl?
Kaplan, Barrons or Peterson??

i found Kaplan best....i also got 290...same breakdown as sweetbee

How about peterson, any good reviews about that?

And which one should I take pbt or Cbt

Hey Trinya, word of advice DONT STUDY FOR THE STUPID TEST!!!!

Seriously if you are good in reading and listening you so will be fine. Its the assiest test ever.

If you really want to study use barrons and as i said before you need to write a readable essay thats all. ( like ones you write in in school) !

Take the CBT TOefl prefers it and PBT is being phased out anyway. Most colleges want CBT

from where do the reports get mailed to universities??
im from pakistan, so is it like that the rreports ll reach americn universities before they reach me??/

But I want to refresh my english grammar and want to know what the cmmon mistakes that are made on the test, so which book should I then buy?

wooo hooo, i got my scores today - 297 on CBT :)

CONGRUTALATIONS!!!, tell me your study tactics

hey trinya, you really don't have to study much. TOEFL is easy and your actual knowings should suffice. reading was hardest for me but if payed a little bit more attention i would have a much bigger score. so PAY MORE ATTENTION to the texts in the test and you'll easily score more than 250.
congrats tenniscraze!
and omair, the reports are sent from Princeton, NJ.

670 verbal 300 CBT :(

TOEFL is expensive to sit and to send scores. They are very slow to reach. I will share with you what I did, I sent e-mail to colleges where I applied and requested whethe it will be Ok if I send a copy directly to ad office rateher than sending through TOEFL. Beleive me all the colleges replied that you can send copies , some said you send certifed copies. SO I followed that route and all the colleges accepted my TOEFL score.
I got 297 CBT

What do you mean with certified, how do you did that?

Make a photocopy of the score report you received from ETS, go to your school, get it signed by your counselor/teacher and put a seal(school)-that is a certified copy.
