tomorrow 3 pm..

yeah.. I have my interview tomorrow..!!.. guess I'm a little nervous.. I'm trying to "prepare" for it but I just don't know how.. any tips?!.. I have already read about Yale.. ( but truly.. its web page is soo.. boring?.. ).. anyways.. hope to hear from u guys soon..

Know why you want to go there.

Dress appropriately, don't chew gum, put some lotion on, all the obvious things...

Just be honest and answer all the questions as best you can. Try not to get too nervous and speak too fast or choke.

Interviews aren't as bad as some people think. I was worried about my first interview (Harvard) and after it I realized that they aren't such a huge deal.

For some reason I wasn't nervous at all for the interview. Be yourself and act normal. Be prepared for questions such as "who are you; what do you like/dislike about your school; who's your most influential person; describe youself in a few words, etc." Go into the interview knowing you are who you are and you got to where you are because of that. I think I wasn't nervous because the chances of getting into Yale are so slim that it's not something to be nervous about...If that makes sense. In other words, it's not like you're going to interview for a job and there are only 3 other people that you need to be better than. This is an extremely competitive school with admissions procedures and standards that no one really truly knows. Don't go in being nervous about getting in, go in thinking about how great of a person you are.

thanks both of u.. :D

prepare questions to ask the interviewer
"describe a typical day for a yale student"
"what really sets yale apart?"

prepare for a question about global issues. such a question turned up in both my harvard and yale interviews.

be genuine.

best of luck

hey do u think a black pant with a blouse is ok or is too much?!!.. I don't know.. or a white pant with a collared t-shirt?.. (I'm girl)

I meant.. black pants or white pants?

Both are good...Personally I like seeing girls when they look professional yet sexy...lol

black pants but wear interesting shoes, i.e. not regular boring ones.

I just got back form my interview.. I'll post later to let u guys know how was it..

okidokies... it was ok-fine I guess.. I mean it lasted an hour ( exactly!!); she started saying " tell me anything u want to add to ur app." so I started speaking like 10-15 min. long and she was just making eye contact and never interrupted me.. then the tipical questions: " what are ur passions", " If I could speak to two of ur friends, what would they say about u?", "what's ur favorite book".. then we started speaking about "comformist people" which we both seemed to hate.. and then she explained everything I already knew about yale and I was " yeah yeah I know" and that was it!.. she graduated 6 years ago so she was pretty young and nice. :)
