The suspension is something you will have to live with. Obviously we don’t know what it is related to but have you thought about doing some volunteer work in a field where you can prove you are responsible and trustworthy. An additional letter of recommendation from the organization that states your character could help a lot.</p>
<p>Some elite schools take no transfers at all, but students with excellent records at CC can transfer to schools that do take transfers. To find out more, you should talk to the counselors at your CC. I know for a fact that they focus on transfers.</p>
<p>Cardinal Fang is correct. Attending a cc is a great way to start with a clean slate. S’s friend didn’t get into any colleges he applied to in his sr yr so he went to a cc. You can’t get into many schools with a 2.5 GPA. </p>
<p>After 2 yrs on the dean’s list and ec’s, he got into a top 20 school - as a biochem major. If you go to a cc, sit down with your GC immediately for your transfer plan. Be involved on campus and off.</p>
