My employer from a paid internship that appears on my Common App sent my school (which set up the internship) a very positive report on his experience with working with me. He also sent a copy to me. My LOR’s so far come from core/non-core teachers, so would this letter help? Additionally, is it too late to submit a letter for RD schools?
If you applied via Common App it would need to load through common app. Or the college would have to agree to have it sent to them…but not via u. It needs to be sealed abd unseen.
If you are past the application deadline let it go.
Too late or not depends on where each school is in their application review process. Additionally some schools explicitly do not want any additional LORs sent to them - so best to reach out and check with the AO if they’re ok with you submitting this particular LOR (mention that it’s going to be from an employer, therefore providing a new perspective).
If the AO agrees to accept it you can have your employer email the letter directly to them. I suppose it’s also possible to set him/her up as a recommender in Common App but I don’t know if that’ll work past the school’s RD deadline.
Are you sure? I applied via Common App, but my recommenders and letters were organized and sent through SCOIR. Also, I thought I waived the right to see letters through FERPA, not the ability. You’re saying the letter becomes void automatically because it wasn’t sealed?
