um so i have kind of a stressful problem

i was out sick for 7 days (doctor's note and everything) two weeks ago. i was able to receive extensions on assignments but im super behind in pam2300. the make-up midterm is on wed and im still working on a major paper due thurs.

im meeting with my advisor tomorrow morning. but im wondering, is it possible to drop the class? im at 13 credits now so i know i will be below full-time. is it too late to pick up another class? i know the CHE advisors mentioned they make exceptions for severe situations, but would this count? i need to finish the paper tonight to be able to semi-prep for the midterm. even 2 days is pushing it.

so am i just royally screwed? sigh...

Why are you at 13 already? Did you drop another class that you were behind in?

im a fall transfer student and my advisor rec. just taking 4 classes

i would talk to your TA…and let them know your situation…

maybe they’ll be cool and give you some areas to focus on…or give you sample problems?

whats a pam 2300 mid term like?

TAs can’t give info like that for the exam, they did post a study guide though it’s not inclusive. i have the midterm with avery and it’s rumored to be difficult and long

you might need advisor approval to drop…

i’m not sure if any are still open but ILR used to offer 6 week courses in the 2nd half of the semester that you could add a little later…

you could drop the 3 credits and add a 2 credit…

^ that or find a research position and do 2 or 3 credits of research

hyperlite, i would talk to your professor about giving you a paper extension. it’s definitely too late in the game to sign up for another class, because everything is jsut about half way done.

will do, thanks guys!
