Too Many AP's?

I’m a Sophomore right now, and because of a schedule correction accident, I’m stuck taking 6 AP’s my sophomore year. The thing is, my school only allows you to increase the rigor of your schedule - not decrease it. Like for example, I can’t switch from an AP course to an Honors course, because then I would be decreasing the rigor of my schedule. They also look at your freshmen grades, (in which I got straight A’s), and if your freshmen grades are good, there’s extremely limited movement from an AP to an Honors. Any advice on what I should do?!?!??!?!?!? How bad would the stress levels and work load be?!?!
Here are the AP Courses I’m taking:
-AP Calculus AB
-AP Calculus BC
-AP Statistics
-AP Psychology
-AP Chemistry
-AP Human Geography

Wow, that sucks. At many schools it’s usually the opposite, except for the really smart kids of course.

Is AB Calc 1 only and BC Calc 2 only? Or is BC Calc 1 and 2 at your school? Either way, choose one or the other. Taking both this year will only confuse you because if its the former (AB= Calc 1 and BC= Calc 2) then you’ll be confused in BC since BC is an extension of AB. If the latter (AB= Calc 1 and BC = Calc 1 and 2) then it’ll be like hearing the same song at two different speeds in both ears (Normal for AB, X2 faster for BC or 1/2 speed for AB and Normal for BC). Drop one.

An AP Lite, don’t worry about this one too much. It’s a lot of reading and writing, almost like English with a math twist. Since it’s taken after Algebra 2/ uses Algebra 2 you should be fine.

These two are also AP Lites. AP Psych is usually take by seniors and my school (juniors can also take it but it’s rare) but it’s a lot of writing and reading and such. AP Human Geo isn’t offered at my school so I can’t help much there :frowning:

This one is taken either in conjunction with academic or honors physics junior year, alone junior, or alone/ with AP Physics C and/or AP Bio senior year at my school. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a lot of work. Academic or Honors Chem is a prerequisite for this course, but many have taken it as a first course with success, other without any. You can use this as an argument to keep or drop the course.

You can also use [this chart](http://www.fcps.edu/westspringfieldhs/student_services/assets/academic_advising/ap_course_expectations.pdf ) I found online to see how much work you’ll have for each class (Note: not my high school).
Best of luck! Use “@” and then my username (@TheSlacker16) to mention me so I can reply to any questions you might have, or for other users.

Have your parents intervene. This schedule has to be an overload for a sophomore. I’d drop two of the math because you’ll run out of math for jr and sr years. AP chem should have a prerequisite - I wouldn’t take it without honors or pre-AP Chem.

I honestly feel like the APs you can comfortably take this year would be AP Stat, AP Human Geography and AP Psychology. I would save the AP Calcs for your junior and senior year so you have math classes to take then, and save AP Chem for when you’ve already taken a pre-AP / Honors chemistry class. Good luck!
