My internship employers - the chief editor and my mentor; I worked at a newspaper company - both wrote me recommendation letters. I was actually only expecting one, but they wrote separate letters and I’m not sure what to do because I already submitted a supplemental rec. letter from a different internship. Would it be okay to send both (the chief editor’s and my mentor’s), or is that a bad idea? I’d greatly appreciate your advice/opinions!
I applied to Annenberg as a Print Journalism major, by the way!
Bad idea. Follow directions, they do not want to be overloaded with letters. Think about every applicant sending in an extra couple letters, we are talking over 100,000 additional letters. Even if most don’t, they want to see that you can follow the rules, directions and not consider yourself a prima-donna that you should be able to send in more than someone else. Do you think they all said something really different? I doubt it. Quantity is not quality.
