I got my subject test scores back from the January test, and I am pretty pleased with them. I'm planning on applying to top colleges, and I'm wondering how many subject tests you should send them. So far, I've taken world history, literature, and Math 2. My world history score wasn't as good, so I'm probably not going to send it. However, I'm wondering if I should take the U.S. History and/or the Physics subject tests in may, as I am currently taking both of them in school. Will taking these subject tests help my applications? Or will colleges see it as taking too many tests? I actually might need to take physics because some colleges require both Math and Science subject tests. Any advice on what to do?

Most schools only require/recommend 2 SAT2 scores. Some schools may request specific subjects. So you better check it out first. If you are not applying to pre-med, science or engineering, there is usually no preference. In that case, schools will look for the best 2 scores and you may also pick the ones you want to send too. If you are going to study science, engineering, or premed, you should have at least one science subject. Some schools like Northwestern requires Math, Chem, and Physics for certain programs.
