Too Much for Seniro Year?

Sorry for another schedule thread, but I am not sure whether my schedule will be too much senior year with college applications.

AP Biology
AP Calculus BC
AP English Literature
AP Macroeconomics
AP European History
College Spanish
Greece and Rome Rediscovered

I want to major in accounting and history, so I am not sure whether to drop lunch and take another AP class. I was thinking AP Stats since business majors need to take one in college or AP Government. Is it worth it to drop lunch and any other AP suggestions if so?

Sorry for title typo. I meant senior year

How’s your schedule junior- is it a big jump to take 5 APs, a college level class, and a respectable sounding elective?

Well this is my junior year schedule.

AP English Language
AP United States History
Integrate Algebra 2 and Trigonometry Honors
Chemistry Honors
Spanish 4 Honors
College Accounting
Ethics in Print 1/2 year and Disease 1/2 year

Hmmm…I’d drop an AP. That really is a big jump, for anyone. I’d also choose AP Bio, since you don’t seem very interested in science based on your major choice.

I am aiming for UPenn though, so wouldn’t it look bad to drop a core subject senior year? Also I am actually interested in all these subjects, but I just love history the most and want to major in accounting in order to be financial stable.

…hmmm. I didn’t think of that. On the other hand, Ivys don’t exactly like it when you design yourselves for them. Drop it, I’d say. You don’t want it, you don’t need it.

I am actually interested in a lot of subjects so do suggest maybe keeping AP Bio and maybe adding another class?

…why are you suggesting adding ANOTHER class when you posted this thread worrying the course load is too much for you?

I wanted to know if it was going to be too much and if it wasn’t I was going to add another class. I am probably going to stick with this schedule as is and just use my free period to work more hours at my part time job.Thank you for your imput.

I think you’ll be fine with adding another AP class. I only had 2 AP and 2 College class my Junior year. Now as a Senior, I’m taking AP Calc, US Gov, CHEM, PHYSICS, ENG Lit. and College BIO, ASL II. 1st semester just ended and I only had 1 B, I find myself with a lot of free time too, about 4 hours on school days.

If you’re in Calc. BC you should have no problem with statistics. It’s fairly straight forward, and the math is Algebra II and below.
