Too much stress?

Hello I was wondering if the schedule next year will give me too much stress.
APUSH, AP Lang, AP Chem, AP Enviro, and AP Physics B1
I have taken 3 AP classes before and they were AP human geo, AP World, and AP Psych. Got 5s on all of them. I like chem most of the times and it's easy and my Pre-AP chem teacher did say it's be a piece if cake for me but idk. I asked the physics teacher if I'll be able to do next year and he said yes. I am an incoming junior by the way and have never taken physics. The other classes I will take are Spanish 4 and Pre-AP Precalc.
Please do help me since I am worried that I might overload or something. Do I have too many classes? Will AP Physics B1 be easier since they split it up? Are there too many hard classes in one schedule? Ahhhh.

Thanks!

I mean, seven academic classes already looks like a stretch (at my school we can only have five, six if you drop your elective). I’d say five APs junior year is manageable (that’s what I had) as long as not all of them have tons of homework. But you have APUSH there, which I understand to be a TON of reading no matter what your school is like. I would ask people who’ve taken these classes what the workload is like, and gauge your experience the first few weeks of school. If you can change schedules then, you might consider that. I just don’t want you or anyone to burn out and get unsatisfactory grades after all that work. Really think about whether you can handle that much.

Sorry I know this response sounds kinda ambivalent but basically I wouldn’t worry about five APs except you have two more classes on top of that. So use your judgement and consider whether you have that much time.

I mean I’ve heard APUSH isn’t too bad but one thing for AP World, we used Ethel Wood and not the real textbook but ap world was never hard for me. Other thing I took those 3 classes in 1 year. I just don’t know how to edit my previous post just yet. Thanks for the reply pumpkinpatch35!

Anyone else want to add some input please??

It will be stressful, but the APs that will cause it will be the ones everyone else is taking- Lang and APUSH. In my experience, the most work is associated with both of these. Chem also may be difficult, but if you’ve done well in a pre-AP chem, odds are you’ll find it easier than most. I’ve heard APES is very easy, and Physics shouldn’t be too bad, since Physics 1 is just the first half of Physics B. Precalc is pretty easy as well, since it’s largely redundant of Algebra II. Succeeding in 3 APs last year is a good indicator that you’ll do very well in 5 this year. It will be stressful, and there will be some nights with very little sleep, but you should be able to manage it.

Good luck :)

3 AP sciences may be pushing it, but of the 5 AP’s, USH, Lang, and Chem will be the most time consuming. I see little value in APES, but that’s my personal opinion.

Should I drop APES and take AP Stats instead? Is AP Stats pretty doable?

Check the colleges you’re in and see if they take for one or both of the classes, what score you need to get, and if you think you can get it. Then check their general ed requirements and see if either is. Put these factors into your decision, but the bottom line is that you should take whichever is more interesting to you, not what looks better to colleges. Its not a bad thing is colleges see you beginning to focus your interests. Both courses are “easy” APs.
