Hello, I am taking
PAP(Pre-AP) Spanish 4
PAP Precalc
AP Stats
AP Lang
APUSH
AP Chem
AP Physics 1

I have taken 3 sophomore year(world, human geo, and psych-5s on all) with all PAP classes and wasn't too overwhelmed/stressed. However for junior year I am not too sure.
I didn't struggle much with PAP Chem sophomore year and my teacher said AP Chem would be a piece of cake for me but I'm doubtful hearing the horror stories associated with Chem so would like to know the thoughts of fellow CCers.
Also, please do warn me as to which classes will be the most homework heavy.
Have heard that at my school ap stats is quite easy, however the pap Spanish 4 teacher is very psycho and stressful but who knows... Thanks for all your input!

I’m also taking Stats, Lang, and Chem next year. I’ve heard that Lang depends on the teacher, but can be difficult if your teacher gives you a lot of essays. APUSH is reputed to have a heavy workload (extensive note-taking), although it probably will depend on your teacher. I’ve also heard that Chem has a significant amount of work, but if you did well in PAP chem, you should be fine. Stats is not a very hard class, so that one won’t be bad.
I’m taking World Hist next year. Could you please tell me how that class was?

I personally didn’t think it was as bad as people said. It wasn’t easy but it wasn’t too difficult. I had a VERY good teacher as well and she made the class so interesting and fun but it really depends on how much you can stay on task and retain info because that class moves fast. I loved it though

I’m taking Chem, Lang, USH, Stats, and Pre-Calc like you are (along with ASL, no Physics or Spanish 4), and it’s a lot of work, but not hard. You seem to handle APs well if you took three and did well, I took one last year and got a 4 and I don’t feel overwhelmed, I say go for it.

It will be very challenging, but I recommend you take them all. Most of my friends and I never regretted taking the extra AP or honors, but many of my friends who didn’t are regretting it now, in the midst of college application season. In my opinion, the single most important thing on your application is your course rigor. Don’t forget that grades are very important too, so during junior year, GPA > Sleep and Facebook!
