I've taken all of those... C++ is pretty easy. Linear algebra and circuit theory aren't that bad and differential equations isn't bad if you're good at math. That looks like a pretty light semester to me. Don't know why you'd think 4 courses might be too much. I usually take 6, although it's kind of rough.

Linear algebra is pretty easy if your professor isn't bad, C++ programming should be pretty easy too, circuit theory shouldn't be bad, and diff eq is probably going to be the toughest class you have.

To Russel7, just because it is 4 classes doesn't mean it's a light load. One of my toughest trimesters was 4 classes, 16 credits:

Differential Equations
Physics of E&M
Linear Circuits
Embedded Systems Software (Assembly)

You may want to try the actual UT Austin board, if there is one. Or your friends in your major at UT Austin. Contrary to a popular belief here, the difficulty of the same classes varies hugely between universities, even in engineering. So nobody here can truly advise you properly, unless they're from your school.

As a general comment, you might find circuit theory easier after you've already taken diffeq, since the former uses the latter.

You should be asking an advisor at your school, not posting the question on the internet. You should ask an advior for their opinion of how you would manage based on your past performance and their experience with students over the years. I'm sure they will have something to say.

Remember, this is your permanent academic record you are playing with.

thanks for the posts, currently my gpa at ut is a 3.8, I definitely busted my ass for that average to whoever asked, are there any ut graduates to give me some perspective for this question?
