Hey everyone, I recently took the ACT for the second time. I just got my scores back my scores back today. I scored a composite score of 32. (The first time I took it, I got a 30)
Here are my scores:
32 C
26 E
32 M
36 R
33 S
I’m thinking of taking it a third time, and focusing on English. What are the best ways to raise the English score and what are the best sources to learn/practice for it?
I would say practice tests help out a lot. Personally, my strategy is to just go with what sounds right. I only know my results from February and I got a 34, so it worked pretty well. However, if just sounding it out in your head isn’t good enough, I would recommend trying to learn the core grammar concepts and then practice after that.
Great score, and best of luck!
For the majority of the grammar questions on the act you’re going to need to know raw grammar rules: commas, apostrophes, colons, etc. I received a 34 on my last 2 tests for English doing the above.
