I believe that the death penalty costs a lot more than locking somebody up for life due to the legal proceedings and bureaucracy. He should have been keep alive. As long as he wasn't doing any more harm, it would have been cheaper to keep him locked up. I assure you that life in prison is no picnic. What was the logic behind the decision to execute him?

Revenge. No one admits it, but that's really underneath it.

(this is what they use as the excuse) The crime was depraved and he is still a detriment to society. Prisoners can be detriments,
a. through their writings (he didn't really show any pro-gang writing)
b. through still controlling the crips from jail (yeah right)

He shouldn't have died.

I would be inclined to believe that most people would choose point 2 as their reason for justifying execution.

I mean, death or life in prison... both are horrible things but without any absolute gauges to judge the extent of their impact on the individual. Life in prison is cheaper. I really do not see any solid reason for why he was killed. People rely on "he was bad" and leave it at that.

well....i feel bad for the ppl that decided to give him sentence....theyre goin to hell............who are they to play god?
