<p>There is no such thing as a top university for premed. Go to a well-respected university that will challenge you, major in a field that you are passionate about, excel academically, do well on the MCAT and the rest will take care of itself.</p>

<p>Not a rumor perse. However, whether you attend Johns Hopkins, Emory, Duke or Chicago and graduate with a 3.5+ GPA will not make a difference. Either way, you will have a good shot at a medical school...provided you do well on your MCAT.</p>
