Great premed programs, hands down, are those combined BS/MD programs that guarantee your admission to med-school. That guarantee is absolutely priceless.

unfortunadamente i dont know any
name some?

thanks

Here's the AAMC directory

Thanks very much

What about those colleges that do not do the combined curriculum but still are great premed schools

Great pre-med schools are the schools with the best overall reputation where you get the best GPA. That would be the Ivies, Stanford, the top LACS lke Amherst and Williams. I would never do JHU premed since its a cutthroat factory, rather I would do Brown for example. The ad committee views them equally but a top GPA at JHU will be much more difficult due to grade deflation. There is a Wall Street feeder list circulating, its pretty accurate. I think its #1 Harvard, #2 Princeton, #3 Yale, #4 Stanford, #5 Williams, #6 Duke, #7 Dartmouth, #8 Amherst, etc...

These schools do well because they aren't pressure cookers in terms of GPA yet they have top reputations.

Duke's becoming a pre-med factory: 46% of the incoming class said they were pre-med! That number will probably drop drastically, though.

In the South, I think Davidson's best for pre-med.
