Professor101 won this thread. No one can beat it.

I knew a kid years ago who had a choice between BYU and Harvey Mudd. He picked Mudd.

Clemson vs. Virginia Tech
Clemson vs. South Carolina
Clemson vs. Auburn
Clemson vs. Georgia Tech

These are the most frequent college decisions involving Clemson

Ok, here is another good one:

Lehigh v. Kansas

johnadams ties with the professor

Here is what my daughter is torn between : Fordham vs. Bowdoin?

^definitely Bowdoin. I know Fordham is in NYC and kids love it in NYC but Bowdoin is a lot better and the social life there, while not in NYC is great as well.

JohnAdams: your poster (Lehigh v Kansas) must be separated at birth with my fave (Lafayette V Alabama)

Bowdoin by a mile! Fordham is not worth the $$, especially when a fantastic college like Bowdoin is a possibility.

Oh hah. I think I’m #4.

Leaning towards Oxy at the moment, after a bit of thought. I’m going to sit on it for a while. It doesn’t really help that in chronically indecisive. [:

Rodney,

Lafayette and Alabama both have strong football program+ football history. Patriot league vs. big ten!

So that would be Duke by . . . what? . . . an inch or two?

Were those posters in-state to Kansas and Alabama respectively? Because then there would be huge cost differences. It might genuinely be hard for a Kansas in-state student to decide between Lehigh and Kansas.

Dartmouth vs Pomona is my favorite right now. Happy students at both places, though.

I don’t think anything that’s “random state vs. private” is really that surprising for an in-state student.

what I actually thought was bizarre was not the “public” v “private” but the Alabama (rah rah) v the Pennsylvania small preppy school…

similar scenario with the Kansas v Lehigh (and considering the fact that Lehigh and Lafayette are rivals…)

obviously cost would be a factor…just comparing very different schools/environments/student bodies…you know…

Hampshire vs NYU (Gallatin)
both flexible curricula but very different environments, student bodies, and reputations

also UCLA vs Haverford

I know somebody (not on CC) debating UIUC versus CalTech.

LOL The weather’s much better in Cali but what about those earthquakes?

NYU vs USC

Faber College vs. Huxley College
