Top 10 most beautiful campuses

Any top 10 beautiful campus list that doesn't have Michigan State U. on it is suspect, esp among major universities. Princeton, UChicago, Miami (Ohio), Yale, U. Washington (Seattle), are others that stick out in my mind, as well.

w/ regard to trinity ... really? i mean, trinity's nice, but i mean ... there are campuses that are much nicer, and in much nicer areas too.

UC santa barbera is #1 hands down

the college of new jersey is gorgeous.

I'm sure this has been posted before I'm just too lazy to go through 15 pages of...posts...so! University of Colorado-Boulder! It's simply amazing. You have the flatirons, the really blue sky (and yes, it is VERY blue) that backdrop the gorgeous red brick buildings....It's simply stunning. Even on cold, grey days the clouds look like they are rolling down the flatirons, which is really cool looking. Yeeeah.

probably stanford

university of miami, boston college (i know it was mentioned), rollins college

Vassar's got a nice campus

UVA
Wake Forest
Colgate
Bucknell
Cornell
Richmond
Swathmore
Mary Washington
William & Mary
Dartmouth

Duke
Stanford
UVA
Cornell

Homer choice = Berkeley, in an eclectic sort of way...nice views of the Bay Area from campus.

Berkeley's campus is #1 if you're comparing it to the surrounding city =P.

Im not in college yet...but I have taken many tours and I have to say:

University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou)

WashU

and Hampton University! Hampton is surrounded by water on 3 sides...its sooo pretty..the only thing is that it hasd a cemetary smack in the middle of the campus..Thats right HAMPTON IS AN HBCU!!! I must have balls because this is the 1st HBCU on these lists I have seen...

For the white people that just dont know (not a racist comment...but most people who dont know what and HBCU is are white)

Historically Black College/University=HBCU

what is everyones opinion of USC's CAMPUS? only post if youve actually visited, ive heard the good and the bad but what i want is the reality!!

^ USC = University of Southern Cal?

USC has a gorgeous campus. Red brick buildings...very collegial. Unfortunately, the campus is not located in the best part of town. There are not a lot of businesses catering to students off-campus, like there are in other college towns.

My problem with colleges in LA (UCLA and USC), is that LA is not an intellectual city. Compared to San Fran, Boston, Chicago, or New York, LA is dumb. Just my personal take, and I'm a native Angeleno.

haha good feedback thanks!! anything else about usc/area around usc bro!??

"Collegial" is an understatement. :) USC's campus has passed for many different campuses in movies and it definitely has that flavor of being a college campus.

Until recently though it has been quite "generic" college, but all new buildings built in the past couple of years have been of USC's new architectural style.

Also, they're building the Exposition Rail line just south of campus that should eventually go all the way to Santa Monica. It goes between USC and Exposition Park, which sucks, but at least there'll be good public transit places now...

Once again, Michigan State's got to be on ANY top-10 campus beauty list.

Indiana University at Bloomington is very nice.

The University of Chicago is considered a national botanic garden. Absolutely beautiful. When John D. Rockefeller built it in the late 1800's he sent his stone masons to Oxford and Cambridge and told them to copy them. Well, they did. If you like english Gothic with tons of intricate stone work, woodwork and stained glass, mixed with some interesting modern, you will love it.

Has practically every college but NYU been mentioned in this thread? ;)

Think about it folks. Beauty's a relative thing. What's beautiful to me may not be beautiful to you. And most people would consider their own campus beautiful...
