Penn States campus is stunning. Looks like a true college campus.

middlebury is gorgeous! i love the buildings and the snow and the fall colors and the town is adorable.

Rice University = beautiful

May come as a surprise, but i think Hobart looks like it has a really nice campus and I'd agree with the fact that Providence has a great campus as well. Brown is still the nicest I've ever seen. Gotta love Thayer Street. Beautiful architecture, Providence and an Ivy League School. Hard to beat.

College Of William And Mary!!!!!

The original question was college CAMPUS. Therefore, schools that "look out onto the ocean" or "have great views of city buildings in the distance" must be excluded. Also, to give an opinion, I suggest you MUST have visited a minimum of 25 campuses. Next, the list should be campuses that gave you a "WOW" the very first time you say them. Finally, each school must have been seen in the summer (if a school is in a snow district) for equal comparisons.

Having said all that, I regret I have never seen Stanford, since that appears to be a favorite. Due to past employment selling software to universities, I've been to about 100 schools. Again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There were only 7 schools that gave me a "WOW"

In no particular order going west to east: Pepperdine, UC Santa Barbara, U. of Miami, UNC - Chapel Hill, U.VA, Vassar, Colgate and Boston College.

UMass is definitely ugly...smokestack in middle of the campus...congested and poorly laid out streets...institutional buildings.

i'm not so sure about UW.... i live in Seattle... maybe it's because i live here but it's not all that amazing..... it's just...big

How did someone mention Smith and not Mount Holyoke? Smith's buildings are totally random...

-Mount Holyoke (literally, THE most beautiful campus I've seen. I fell in love with it when I was searching for schools)

-University of the South/Sewanee

I didn't think much of Vassar (other than the AMAZING library). I thought that it looked like a creepy vampire movie location. Boo to gothic architecture!
