Top 15% and really high SAT scores for top schools

Hey guys, I hear that at top schools they simply do a preliminary check on your grades and SAT before they move onto your essays and other parts of your application. Here are my stats:

UW gpa: 3.77
W gpa: 4.59-4.6
SAT- 2370
SAT Math Level 2-800

SAT Physics- 780
In the top 17% of my class, but I should note that my high school is extremely competitive, consistently ranked in the top 15 high schools in the nation by Us News

Do you think I would be able to make it pass the preliminary check on grades/sat in schools like Stanford, Harvard, UPenn, etc?

Yeah, for sure. Even at a semi-competitive, or average school, you’d at least make it past “preliminary checks.”

Yeah even if UW GPA may be slightly low your SATs and SAT II are pretty stellar. Even without knowing anything else, you have the grades and SAT to get in.

Thank you so much! I was getting worried that my application might not even get looked at.

I think Pre Lims probably just rule out all of the people who’s stats are just entirely too low to even CONSIDER anything else. No problem!
