Top 50 LACs

Can someone list please?

People don’t go to liberal arts colleges for the name recognition.

Yes they do. And they call themselves “little ivies.” Makes me want to set myself on fire.

And arcadia thinks Middlebury is better than Pomona because it’s in Vermont. ;-). WINK WINK.

Colby not Colgate is 22. Sorry for the mistake

Very funny. Everyone knows that Columbia, UPenn, Brown, and Dartmouth are the “little ivies.” And Cornell is a state school.

I thought the prospect of sending our children to Colby made you want to set yourself on fire? I suppose many things do. Please give me a heads up when you decide to go through with it: I want to say an “Our Father” for you.

Pomona? I was just there the other day with my family. We bought a lovely new copper teakettle. I had no idea the company sponsored a culinary school. What a pleasant surprise!

Go die Kwu :).

from Wikipedia, [Little Ivies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Little Ivies - Wikipedia)

Little Ivies is a colloquialism referring to a group of small, selective[1] American colleges and universities; however, it does not denote any official organization.

Institutions identified as Little Ivies are usually old, small, exclusive, of WASP (Yankee) origin, and academically competitive liberal arts colleges located in the northeastern United States. The colloquialism is meant to imply that Little Ivies share similarities with the universities of the Ivy League.

It is sometimes synonymous with the “Little Three,” Amherst, Wesleyan, and Williams.

Why do they even bother with LACs?

plus the data they’re using is like, at least 2 years old.

I would only set myself on fire for legitimate causes.
Which is worse? burnt victim or the girl who went to a “little ivy”?
burnt victim or the woman whose kids go to Colby.
Don’t even answer it. ;-)

I’m looking at a lot of liberal arts colleges, but only ones in the midwest, so I can only list good ones in that area: Saint Olaf, Oberlin, Lawrence, IWU, and DePauw.
