Hi, I'm new here.

Anyway, I am looking to apply for a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Does anybody here know of some rankings of the best Californian colleges for a Bachelor of Architecture degree?

I do not have access to all that much money; I am also trying to stay local (hence, I am looking only in California), and am particularly looking for a public school. Basically, while I would prefer a pretty full list of ranked colleges, in particular I am wondering whether Cal Poly (either of them) are good for architecture (and how they stack up nationally and globally for a B.A. (not a Master's), and whether UCLA and UC Berkeley offer a Bachelor of Architecture degree.

Thanks in advance.

The cal poly's are extremely good in architecture. check the architecture forum or do a search here on cc.
I heard but i may be wrong that ucla/ucb are more theory, and the cal polys tend to be more practical(which is beneficial).

there's one private in cali you may be interested as tuition is basically that of public schools. although they're more known to be essentially the "artist architecture" school as some have said that student's designs are sometimes unrealistic.
Southern California Institute of Architecture

Thanks a lot, liek0806. It's good to see that the Cal Poly's are decent--now I just hope that I can get in :-).

The Southern California Institute of Architecture has a tuition similar to public schools? I was under the impression that it would cost over $20,000 to go there, as opposed to $6,000 for Cal Poly (just in terms of tuition).

One other thing, would you provide a link to the architecture forum? I used the search feature on the main page, and looked at the FAQ, but don't know how to get/find that particular forum.
